Rural Show Special: Mahindra launches 25 horsepower tractor
Model 2025 can be used in fruit production, being ideal for use on land with little room for maneuver
The rice harvest officially began in Santa Catarina on the 6th and 7th of February. The second largest national rice producer, the state expects a harvest of 1,1 million tons in the 143 thousand hectares planted. The expectation is that production in Santa Catarina for 2019 will be 2,2% lower compared to the 2017/18 harvest.
Given the high production costs, choosing the right seed can guarantee the future of the crop. To talk about this and present its new technologies for the rice market, RiceTec, a company specialized in the development and commercialization of high-tech rice seeds, participated in the Opening Official of Harvest of Santa Catarina Rice, during the Cooperja Agro Accelerator Field, in Jacinto Machado. Agricultural engineers Gustavo Karam and Evandro Parizotto coordinated the launch of Full Page technology, presenting the Inov Full Page, XP 113 Full Page, and hybrid materials.
The Full Page technology should reach the national market in the next harvest, representing a new generation of seeds with tolerance to herbicides from the Imidazolinones (IMI) chemical group for rice seeds. “We explained to customers and visitors that we migrated from the Clearfield platform to Full Page and we also invited everyone present to learn about our newest technology, Max - Ace, which will be launched at Opening Official of Harvest of Rio Grande do Sul Rice”, highlights Gustavo Karan, who is also responsible for RiceTec's market development. Max-Ace technology will be presented at Opening da Harvest do Arroz do RS and focuses on meeting the producer’s needs, from weed control to productivity results. This technology has genetics that are tolerant to accase inhibitor herbicides, acting to control red rice and grasses resistant to ALS inhibitor herbicides.
The 29th Opening Official of Harvest do Arroz do RS takes place on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of February in Capão do Leão, Pelotas.
