The survey by the Rio Grandense Rice Institute (Irga) on the 2022/2023 harvest shows that rice sowing in the State reached 56,97% this week. To date, 491.384 hectares of the planned 862.498 hectares have been implemented. The data is collected by the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Centers (Nates) of Irga based on information provided by producers in Rio Grande do Sul and tabulated by the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Division (Dater) of the municipality.

The data reveals that the South Zone has 111.828 hectares sown (80,14% of the 139.543 hectares planned). The Western Frontier sowed 197.616 hectares (76,21% of the estimated area of ​​259.321 hectares). The Campaign has 80.014 hectares (62,32% of 128.402 hectares).

The Inner Coastal Plain reached 45.681 hectares (36,89% of 123.830 hectares). The Central region has 31.369 hectares (27,11% of 115.703 hectares). And finally, the Outer Coastal Plain has 24.876 hectares planted (25,99% of 95.699 hectares).
