Rice sowing in Rio Grande do Sul reached 77,22%. This is what the survey by the Rio Grandense do Arroz Institute (Irga) points out. To date, 696.811 hectares of the planned 902.424 ha have been sown. The data was collected by the municipality's Nates teams.

“In the same period last year we already had 93,24% of irrigated rice areas sown in the State. Sowing continues at a slower pace due to the rain, reducing the sowing windows. In the period from November 8 to 23, RS advanced only 5,24% in irrigated rice area. The South Zone is close to finishing sowing, while the Central Region has not reached 50% of the estimated area”, says technical director, Flávia Tomita.

Despite the dry weather until Sunday (26), this Tuesday (28) there will be a greater presence of clouds in the State, with a chance of light rain in the Southern Half. Some areas of the South Zone and Campanha may only receive rain on Tuesday. It should rain on November 30th, December 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 7th. Accumulated volumes should vary from 30 to 80 millimeters, on average, in the Southern Half of RS.
