Even with the end of the harvest in Rio Grande do Sul approaching, rice farmers have made even smaller batches of grain available on the market, reducing internal liquidity, according to information from Cepea. The recent appreciation of the dollar against the Real, in turn, could stimulate exports.

As for demand, industries show interest in purchasing only small volumes, as they indicate that they have comfortable stocks of paddy rice, claiming that domestic sales of the processed product remain very low.

Furthermore, with the completion of the harvest in Brazil's largest producing region, agents from large Brazilian consumption centers hope to purchase volumes of the bale at lower prices.
