Rizobacter, a multinational leader in agricultural microbiology, presents an innovative and sustainable solution for Brazilian agriculture, Rizoderma TSI - a microbiological fungicide composed of a fungus, still unheard of in the Brazilian market, Trichoderma afroharzianum, brings a new tool to combat diseases of the soil and seed, in crops such as soybeans, wheat, rice, corn, among others.

Rizoderma, considered the 3rd generation of biological products, took 10 years to be developed at Rizobacter's global research and development center in Argentina. Its fluid formulation guarantees greater applicability in seed treatment in general, in addition, it allows fungal cells to be more stable and larger, which means greater protection in the field. In this way, it acts faster by colonizing the root of the plant, which will produce secondary metabolites, including antibiotics, which will inhibit or kill other fungi, in addition to producing phytohormones, which are responsible for plant growth and metabolism.

“In a didactic way, Rizoderma can make the plant grow faster, in a protected way and producing more organic acids at the root. These, in turn, provide nutrients that are absorbed from the soil”, highlights Lucas Lopes, product manager for the Biological Control and Seed and Grain Treatment line at Rizobacter.

As a microbiological fungicide, Rizobacter's innovation combines multiple mechanisms of action that naturally prevent and delay the possibilities of pathogen development and attack. The biomolecules produced are absorbed and activate the physiological and biochemical defense mechanisms in the plant and, thus, provide longer protection during all phases of crop growth. Another difference with Rizoderma is that the fungus is already active inside the packaging. Once applied, it takes action and achieves greater efficiency and better results.

"It is a great achievement for Rizobacter to bring Rizoderma to Brazil. The company is already a leader in the industrial treatment of soybean seeds in the country, with more than 5 million hectares covered by our inoculants, and now it has another tool fundamental, for a nutrition and protection program, with the new solution. We believe that, today, it is the most complete, sustainable and technological product on the market", says Lopes.
