The total gross value of production from Cafés do Brasil crops was estimated at R$ 27,46 billion for 2020, based mainly on the physical volume of the annual harvest and the average prices received by agricultural producers in the period surveyed from January to April 24,64. current year. In descending order, in the five Brazilian geographic regions, this revenue comes first in the Southeast Region, with R$89,7 billion, an amount equivalent to 1,23% of the total value. In second place, the Northeast Region stands out, with gross revenue calculated at R$ 4,5 billion, a value equivalent to XNUMX% of total revenue.

Next, in third place, comes the North Region, whose gross revenue from coffee crops was estimated for this year at R$ 850,77 million and corresponds to 3,1% of the revenue of Cafés do Brasil at a national level. In fourth place in this ranking is the South Region, with an estimated R$499,15 million, which is equivalent to 1,82% of the total. And finally, in fifth place, is the Central-West Region with revenue estimated at R$ 233,31 million, which corresponds to approximately 0,85% of the national estimate.

In this context, in relation exclusively to the gross revenue of the North Region mentioned above, it is worth highlighting that the estimated revenue for the state of Rondônia, the fifth largest producing state of Brazilian Coffees, in the amount of R$ 806,75 million, corresponds to 95% of the total of all coffee crops in this region.

Establishing this same comparison for the six main coffee producing states in the country, in relation to their respective geographic regions, in descending order, it appears that Minas Gerais, the largest coffee producer in Brazil, with revenue of R$ 16,78 billion , it is clear that its revenue corresponds to 68,1% of the Southeast Region. Next, in second place in coffee production comes the state of Espírito Santo, with R$5,15 billion in estimated gross revenue, which is equivalent to 21% of the revenue in that same region. In third place in coffee production comes the state of São Paulo, with R$2,51 billion in revenue, a value that corresponds to 10,2% of the Southeast Region's revenue from coffee crops.

Before concluding this analysis of the Embrapa Coffee of the ranking of the gross revenue of coffee crops in the six main coffee producing states in Brazil, in relation to the total revenue from coffee production in the respective geographic regions, of the respective states, it is worth highlighting that the data and numbers that allowed this study to be carried out were obtained from Gross Production Value – VBP April 2020, which is prepared and published monthly by the Agricultural Policy Secretariat – SPA, of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply – Map. Said VBP is available in full on Coffee Observatory, from Coffee Research Consortium coordinated by Embrapa Café.

Thus, continuing this ranking, comes the state of Bahia, which is the fourth largest coffee producer in Brazil, whose revenue was estimated at R$ 1,23 billion, which is equivalent to 99% of gross coffee revenue in the Northeast Region. Next comes the state of Rondônia, which is the fifth largest coffee producer in the country, whose performance has already been analyzed previously. And finally, in the South Region, there is the state of Paraná, which is the only coffee producer in this region, with gross revenue estimated for 2020 at R$499,15 million, which, obviously, represents 100% of the total for this region.

Based on data from the VBP April 2020, if a correlation is established between the gross revenue of all crops surveyed and the revenue from coffee production, of the six main coffee-producing states of the Federation, it appears that Minas Gerais, as previously mentioned, has an estimated revenue for coffee from R$ 16,78 billion, an amount equivalent to 36% of the revenue from all crops in the State. Next, Espírito Santo, whose coffee VBP is estimated at R$ 5,15 billion and corresponds to 78% of Espírito Santo's crops.

In third place, São Paulo, whose coffee plantation has revenues of R$ 2,51 billion and is equivalent to 4% in the same comparison. In fourth place, Bahia – with R$1,23 billion – 5%. Rondônia, in fifth, with R$806,75 million – 21%. And, finally, Paraná, which has an estimated gross revenue for coffee at R$499,15 million, which is equivalent to 1% of the revenue from crops in the State.
