From the 4th to the 8th, a series of activities were developed in the Catanduva Region, a region that is the largest exporter in the country
A survey carried out by the economic consultancy of ABAC (Brazilian Association of Consortium Administrators) together with the associated administrators who operate in the Heavy Vehicles segment, which includes machines in the agricultural sector, showed that the period between January and May revealed a great advance in indicators of new additions to the consortium system compared to the last five years.
The comparison of the first months of 2018 to 2022 in the Consortium System indicates a 326,5% growth in the entry of new consortium members in the agricultural machinery segment, rising from 7.47 thousand quotas in 2018 and reaching 31.86 thousand in 2022.
Jorge Freire, CEO of BomConsórcio, the first Certified B company in the Consórcio System, states that agribusiness is an important pillar of the Brazilian economy and that, over the last four decades, it has consolidated itself as one of the largest shares of GDP and a reference for production, technology and wealth.
A survey carried out by the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics at the University of São Paulo (Cepea-USP), in partnership with the National Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock (CNA), showed that Brazil is currently the third largest food producer and fibers in the world, second only to China and the United States.
According to Freire, the consortium has a growing contribution to the expansion of the sector's activities across the country, whether by facilitating the acquisition of agricultural machinery and implements or even drones and other equipment for observation, security and energy generation.
The consortium system maintains a consistent growth process in the country, demonstrating an increase in numerous segments, especially in the vehicle sector, in the heavy vehicle sector. According to the ABAC survey, the Southeast region was where the highest number of subscribers in the segment occurred, with 39,1%. The South came in second place, with 25,1%; followed by the Central-West, with 15,9%; the Northeast, with 11,5%; and the North, with 8,4%.
In addition, the entry of new consortium members is now favored by having practical alternatives in case of withdrawal. “The operation set up by BomConsórcio in partnership with some of the largest consortium administrators in the country makes it possible to recover the money paid under fair conditions and without bureaucracy in the event of a change of plans”, concludes Jorge Freire.
