Technicians from the National Supply Company (Conab) finalize this Wednesday (22) the research for the 2nd Survey of the 20/21 Sugarcane Harvest. But monitoring of crops grown in the state continues. Next Monday (27th) the data collection for the 11th Grain Harvest Survey will begin. Data collections are carried out remotely due to the suspension of field research trips due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The objective of the work to update sugarcane harvest conditions is to collect information from updating the planted area and productivity to harvesting the product. The research is carried out with the main sugar and alcohol units in the state, located in the Triângulo Mineiro, Center-South, North of Minas and Zona da Mata regions.
Monitoring of grain cultivation encompasses around 60 municipalities, including Alfenas, Boa Esperança, Camanducaia, Campos Gerais, Carmo Rio Claro, Machado, Muzambinho, Paraguaçu, Passos, São Sebastião do Paraíso and Pouso Alegre. The objective is to obtain information on production estimates for the crops cotton, corn 1st harvest, corn 2nd harvest, beans 2nd harvest, beans 3rd harvest, sunflower, sorghum and wheat. The survey continues until the 31st of this month.
The 11th Survey of the 2019/2020 Grain Harvest will be published on the Company's website, on August 11th. The 2nd Survey of the 2020/2021 Sugarcane Harvest is scheduled to be released on August 20th, also on the state-owned company's website.
