Research for the 3rd survey of the 2022/23 grain harvest begins this week

Technicians from the National Supply Company (Conab) have been in the field since Monday (21/11) to collect data for the 3rd Survey of the 2022/2023 Grain Harvest. The research work continues until 26/11 and the results will be published on December 8, on the state-owned company's website. 

The research will be carried out in person in the following states: Bahia, Goiás, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Piauí, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Tocantins. In the others, it will be done by telephone and/or via the internet. 

The highlights of this survey are the progress in the sowing of rice, 1st crop beans, 1st crop corn and soybeans, in addition to monitoring the wheat harvest. The second estimate for the 2022/23 grain harvest, released on November 9, indicates a production volume of 313 million tons, an increase of 15,5% compared to the result obtained in the last cycle.
