The need to keep agricultural machinery operating at maximum efficiency has led producers to seek alternatives that reduce costs without compromising quality and productivity. To meet this demand, Massey Ferguson offers remanufactured original components that return to the field with the same specifications and quality standards as the factory. This practice allows for the recovery of original agricultural machinery components, extending their lifespan and reducing maintenance costs without compromising performance.

Engines and transmissions undergo a rigorous industrial refurbishment process. Components are disassembled, inspected, and reused by specialized professionals within the factory. Worn parts are replaced with genuine components, while other items undergo refurbishment and technical validation processes. Before returning to the market, all assemblies are subjected to performance, safety, and quality tests to ensure the same standards required of a new product.

“Remanufacturing is an alternative that combines reliability, availability, and cost savings for the farmer. In addition to preserving machine performance, the solution helps reduce equipment downtime. Since remanufactured components are readily available for replacement, service is faster, allowing producers to quickly resume operations, especially during critical periods like planting and harvesting.

Economy and sustainability

Cost-effectiveness is also a major draw. Remanufactured components can cost, on average, up to 30% less than a new part, while maintaining the same factory warranty period. 

Another advantage of remanufacturing is its contribution to more sustainable agriculture. Reusing components reduces the need for raw materials and significantly decreases energy and water consumption compared to manufacturing new products. The process also contributes to reducing waste generation and making better use of resources throughout the equipment's life cycle. In practice, this means that parts that have already been part of a machine's operation can return to the field in perfect condition to begin a new work cycle.

“When we recover an original component, we are leveraging all the engineering knowledge incorporated into that part and offering the producer a solution that combines performance, economy, and sustainability. It is an efficient way to extend the lifespan of machines and contribute to an increasingly responsible agriculture with the resources available,” highlights Cavalcanti.
