Registration is open for the II Mato Grosso Seminar on Resistance Management. The event will be held on the 23rd and 24th of July, in Cuiabá, and is organized by the Fundação Mato Grosso, Instituto Mato-grossense do Algodão (IMAmt) and Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa).
Focusing on technical consultants, farmers and professionals from agrochemical companies, the event will discuss the problems generated by resistance to insecticides, herbicides and fungicides, the monitoring work developed by the research and the alternatives to minimize or delay the damage and possible loss of products.
The seminar program will be divided into five thematic panels. On the 23rd, in the morning, there will be the “Holistic view on resistance” panel and, in the afternoon, the “Entomology” panel.
On the 24th, the activities will begin with the “Weed Plants” panel and, after lunch, will continue with two “Phytopathology” panels. One of them will focus on rust and target spot and the other on ramularia spot.
Among the speakers at the event are researchers from Embrapa, IMAmt, Fundação Mato Grosso, Federal University of Viçosa, Univag and private companies, as well as representatives from defense agencies, such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Indea.
Registration can be done on the website www.embrapa.br/agrossilvipastoril filling out an online form. After registration, you must pay the fee of R$400 via bank deposit into one of the five accounts made available by the event organization and send proof of payment to the email laiane@elitetravel.com.br.
