With the aim of gathering, sharing and disseminating the best technological solutions aimed at the citrus sector, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), through the Department of Innovation Support for Agriculture (Diagro/SDI), carries out, in partnership with the Sylvio Moreira Citriculture Center/Agronomic Institute (CCSM/IAC), Agrifutura Citros and Hub Cordeiro, the II Expocitros Tech Mapa Conecta. Registration begins this Friday (23/06) at website and remain open until August 15, 2023.
The initiative takes place in the format of an Agtechs challenge, and participants must register in one of the three categories, according to their level of maturation (Ideation, Operation and Traction/Scale) and present technologies associated with the areas of interest highlighted by the sector.
The solutions will be evaluated by multidisciplinary panels, made up of experts from government, academia, civil society and other sector stakeholders in four stages: pre-qualification; interactive activities; pitch and awards. In the end, six winning initiatives will be chosen, two per modality. The challenge also counts on the collaboration of the Agricultural Research Support Foundation (Fundag).
Mapa Conecta is a strategy aligned with the Agro Hub Brasil Program, also from the ministry, which seeks to encourage startups linked to the agricultural sector, connecting investors and accelerators in the Brazilian innovation ecosystem and providing the ideal space for networking, visibility and business opportunities.
