Registration for the 38th edition of the Soy Research Meeting (RPS), to be held on August 23 and 24, 2023, in Londrina (PR), is open and can be done at official event website. The Soy Meeting, promoted by Embrapa Soja, is expected to bring together approximately 800 professionals involved in the production chain, in what is the main research forum for the soybean agricultural complex.
The RPS organizing committee is inviting renowned speakers to present current knowledge and qualified information for the field, which will promote debates on strategic topics such as the future challenges of soybean farming, from production, post-harvest, to the international market. The technical program will feature themes related to Genetics and Breeding, Ecology, Physiology and Cultural Practices Plant Nutrition, Fertility and Soil Biology, Entomology, Weeds, Phytopathology, Seed Technology, Post-Harvest and Food Safety. In addition, debates will be promoted regarding major themes that cut across agricultural and research activities, such as Low Carbon Soy, Digital Agriculture, Genetics and new Biotechnology and Bioinputs tools.
According to Embrapa Soja researcher, Fernando Henning, president of RPS, the event will present the main advances in research, discuss the difficulties that occurred in the soybean harvest and promote the exchange of experiences and information between those involved in the soybean chain. . “We want to find points of convergence between the demands of production systems and research - discuss new technologies, solutions and innovative tools for the field - in addition to generating partnerships and providing integration between those involved in the production system and soybeans”, details Henning .
One of the new features at RPS will be the space dedicated to exhibitors who can contribute to the improvement of discussions and innovations that are emerging in the field and on the market. The expectation with the exhibition is to promote a technological showcase of products, technologies and solutions related to soy production systems.
