Regenerative agriculture comes to life at Cerrado Summit

The Cerrado Summit ended its program with a practical immersion in Western Bahia, bringing together producers, experts and international representatives on a farm that is a reference in regenerative agriculture. The event highlighted solutions such as direct planting, soybean-brachiaria intercropping, the use of bioinputs and crop-livestock integration — sustainable practices developed almost three decades ago in the region.

In addition to the technical visit, the group visited the Acaba Vida Waterfall and the Vida Cerrado Park, reinforcing the importance of environmental preservation in the biome. Participants from different countries highlighted the potential of the Bahian Cerrado as an example of balance between productivity and conservation.

The Cerrado Summit is the first Landscape Accelerator of the Alliance for Regenerative Action in Landscapes (AARL) and is part of the construction of an action plan for COP30, scheduled for Belém. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, Aiba, Abapa, BCG, WBCSD and CEBDS.
