Re-registration of agricultural establishments closes on the 28th

The Government of Tocantins, through the Agricultural Defense Agency (Adapec), warns the owners of commercial and/or industrial establishments that are dedicated to the commercialization, storage and application of products for use in agriculture that the deadline for mandatory annual re-registration with The Agency closes on February 28th. It is estimated that around 480 agricultural establishments will be re-registered in the State.

“The re-registration period has been open since January 2nd and Adapec urges store owners to contact the Agency's office in their municipality as soon as possible to re-register their company, as the operating certificate also expires. on February 28th,” warned the management of plant evaluation, control and inspection, Lidiana Lira Vieira, adding that these establishments should only operate upon registration with the Agency, with the exception of those, whose activity is the exclusive responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Map).

According to Normative Instruction No. 10, of December 10, 2020, from this year onwards, companies that sell pesticides in Tocantins and that do not have a commercial establishment in the State, are also required to register with Adapec. 

Agricultural establishments that do not re-register within the deadline may be fined and other sanctions applied, such as the closure of the establishment and cancellation of registration with the agency. In addition, fined companies will not receive the registration certificate until they are regularized.

To re-register, the entrepreneur must gather all the documents indicated for the establishment's area of ​​operation, with their expiration dates up to date, collect the fee and deliver the documentation to the local Adapec unit in their municipality.
