The wheat harvest in southern Brazil and São Paulo has been limited by rain. According to Cepea researchers, with the reduction in cereal supply, regional average prices registered slight increases at the end of September. The increase is also due to external and exchange rate appreciation.

In the foreign market, prices continue to rise, influenced by expectations of low inventory in the United States. Furthermore, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues to hamper exports through the Black Sea – Russia is the world's fourth largest wheat exporter.
