The coming days will be marked by the return of stable weather, at least during the weekend. This is what is predicted by the Integrated Agrometeorological Bulletin 39/2024, from the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Sustainable Production and Irrigation (Seapi), in partnership with Emater/RS and the Rio Grande do Sul Rice Institute (Irga).
Friday (27/9): With the displacement of the migratory anticyclone soon after the cold front of the previous day, the weather over Rio Grande do Sul will be marked by the return of stability in most regions, where temperatures should show a gradual decline throughout the day. Despite the stable weather trend, during dawn, along the Costa Doce, there will be conditions for the occurrence of fog over slopes and lowlands in the South and Metropolitan regions due to oceanic humidity carried by the wind from the southern quadrant, or even light precipitation.
Saturday (28/9): With the migratory anticyclone located more over the Atlantic Ocean, the weather should remain stable in Rio Grande do Sul and without any chance of rain. Therefore, temperatures will be more pleasant compared to recent days.
Sunday (29/9): The action of the Low-Level Jet, in the interior of the continent, will transport hot and humid air from the Amazon to the Southern Cone Region. Simultaneously, the oceanic humidity coming from the western sector of the migratory anticyclone (located on the coast of Southeast Brazil, at the time) will be transported by the north quadrant wind to the same region in question. Despite the increase in humidity and the rise in temperatures over the state, the weather should remain stable in most regions.
Monday (30/9): the same atmospheric configuration of the previous day should be repeated, keeping temperatures rising and the probability of pre-frontal fog occurring along the Costa Doce Region due to the intensification of a trough between Paraguay and Rio Grande do Sul.
Tuesday (1/10): a cold front that will move across the ocean and approach the state, causing rain between the South, Campanha, Western Border and Metropolitan regions.
Wednesday (2/10): The same cold front will enter the state, in fact, causing moderate to heavy precipitation over the Metropolitan, Serra and Campos de Cima da Serra regions. In this sense, temperatures should have a more pronounced decline due to the entry of the migratory anticyclone.
Forecasts indicate moderate to heavy rainfall across the southern half of the state, with volumes expected between 30 mm and 100 mm. In the center-north, rainfall is expected to occur in smaller quantities, gradually decreasing as one moves towards the extreme north - accumulations may vary from 2 mm to 30 mm.
