To the voluminous rains in Brazil in recent weeks have helped with development of the 2022/23 Arabica coffee harvest. In general, precipitation is helping in the vegetative growth of coffee plantations and in the filling of grains – it is highlighted, however, agents consulted by Cepea still expect a drop in productivity in 2022/23, due to the abortion of flowers and pellets occurred in the second half of 2021 and the long period of drought that crops passed.

In this week, specifically, part of the agents consulted by Cepea are already in warns about possible impacts of excessive rainfall on crops, especially in Minas Gerais, where some locations face flooding. Until the Currently, reports indicate collapse of certain areas, especially in region of Matas de Minas.
