Rain benefits development of the 2nd harvest

During last Tuesday (06/03) a cold front acted in the Southern Region of Brazil, with greater influence in the northern region of Rio Grande Sul and the border with southern Santa Catarina, bringing weak and isolated rains to this region. For the regions located in the center south of Mato Grosso do Sul and western Paraná, convective clouds are responsible for rain showers in the late afternoon/early evening. On the other hand, for most of the states located in the center north of Brazil, they are under the influence of low-level moisture flow, responsible for the formation of storm clouds and consequent rain showers in the late afternoon.

The forecast for this week is that the rains will continue to occur mainly in a large part of the Central, Southeast and Northern regions of Brazil due to the humidity convergence zone operating in this region. The producing regions in the states of Goiás, Minas Gerais, south of Tocantins, south of Pará and Espírito Santo and a large part of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, will continue to experience rain showers in the late afternoon and early evening ensuring the good development of the 2nd Harvest and also with a good window for the machinery to enter the field during the day.

From the end of this week, a new cold front coming from the south of Brazil will move north, organizing the moisture convergence zone further north, reaching the producing regions of western Bahia and southern Maranhão and Piauí. Starting next week (12/03) this detachment of humidity further north will guarantee a window of drier weather for the producing regions of western São Paulo, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, southern Minas Gerais and Mato Grosso do Sul.
