The list for the month of August with the products that will receive the bonus from the Price Guarantee Program for Family Farming (PGPAF) was published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Friday (05/08). The National Supply Company (Conab) is the body responsible for collecting the market price and calculating the bonus. The discount on Pronaf financing installments is offered by the federal government based on the average market value and the guarantee price of each product.
In August, the highlight is the following products: banana (Alagoas and Sergipe), yam/yam (Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro), orange (Alagoas) and passion fruit (Sergipe), which will no longer receive the bonus, which means that these products have more remunerative prices in the states mentioned.
Pineapple, in Sergipe, and passion fruit, in Bahia, will now receive the bonus. Açaí (Acre), orange (Rio Grande do Sul, Pará and Bahia), cocoa (Amazonas, Pará, Roraima, Bahia and Espírito Santo), rubber (Bahia and Maranhão), banana (Ceará, Paraíba and Pernambuco), cashew nuts (Piauí) and cowpea (Tocantins, Maranhão and Mato Grosso).
The largest bonus granted, according to the list, is 39,14% for cowpea, in Mato Grosso, and the second largest goes to orange, in Pará (39,04%), followed by cowpea, in Maranhão ( 36,05%).
