Central-West Agroeconomic Report is released
Faced with a Covid-19 pandemic scenario, agribusiness supported exports and maintained jobs in the country
One of the busiest business meetings in the sugar-energy sector, the Coplacampo technology and agribusiness fair will be held this year on a digital platform, between the 22nd and 25th of February. Organized by Coplacana - Cooperative of Sugarcane Planters of the State of São Paulo -, based in Piracicaba, the event will mobilize the technical area of the Italian-Japanese company Sipcam Nichino. The company's central themes will be the productivity and quality of sugarcane raw materials.
According to Carulina Oliveira, product manager at Sipcam Nichino, the company will present a broad portfolio for the crop, made up of 14 products, including herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and growth regulators, as well as inputs for plant nutrition.
According to the agronomist, the company will also focus on the brand's most recent launch, the Takumi shock insecticide, specifically for controlling the sugarcane borer (Diatraea saccharalis). According to Sipcam Nichino, before reaching the market Takumi was the subject of almost 200 Research & Development works, carried out across the entire agricultural frontier. Another of the company's insecticides, Pireo, with a broad spectrum of control of caterpillars in sugarcane, will also be shown to Coplacampo participants.
Among herbicides, Sipcam Nichino will primarily deal with the Ancosar and Leale SC brands. The first has been used for several years, successfully, in the management of difficult-to-control herbs, such as brachiaria and crabgrass. Leale SC is described as an initial pre-emergent and post-emergent, with a broad spectrum of control in semi-dry, semi-humid and humid seasons.
The latest generation biostimulant Black Jack and the growth regulator Sprint WG complement Sipcam Nichino's differentials for sugarcane. Carulina Oliveira highlights that Black Jack, a 100% natural product, favors the development of the root system and aerial part of sugar cane. She also reinforces that Sprint WG promotes the accumulation of sucrose by temporarily interrupting the vegetative growth of the crop. According to the agronomist, the same product also favors harvest management.
Sipcam Nichino's so-called star portfolio for soybean and peanut crops will also be on Coplacampo's schedule. The highlights, according to the company, will be the fungicides Fezan Gold, Cuprodil WG and Echo, in addition to the insecticide Takumi and the plant nutrition solutions Abyss and Nutex Premium.
