Technicians from the National Supply Company (Conab) began, this week, work on surveying the indices that are part of the production costs of bananas, rice, beans and tomatoes. The meetings continue until Friday (23) and aim to update the values that will serve as the basis for the new minimum price proposal for products supported by the Price Guarantee Program for Family Farming (PGPAF).
The technical visits will bring together producers, cooperative technicians, cereal growers, professionals linked to technical assistance bodies (Epagri), producer associations, among others. In Canoinhas, the product analyzed will be beans, while in the municipality of Corupá the focus will be bananas. The operation will also check the costs of rice in the municipality of Massaranduba and tomatoes in Caçador.
The study also takes into account the costs of labor, forms and stages of services, agricultural implements, pesticides, fertilizers, seedlings and seeds, in addition to machinery. The update carried out by Conab is an important tool for calculating the profitability of each product and serves as a basis for formulating government policies aimed at the sector.
