Rural producers in Mato Grosso, with each new harvest, need to collect the Technical Responsibility Note (ART), which proves that the property has technical support from an agronomist. To inform about the obligation, the Association of Soy and Corn Producers of Mato Grosso (Aprosoja) released Technical Report 113/2016 (click here).
The requirement for a responsible technical professional and the collection of ART are provided for in Law 5.194/1966, which regulates the professions of agronomist and engineer. “The objective of this obligation is to guarantee a defense instrument for the producer, as it formalizes the professional’s commitment and the quality of the services provided”, says the text of the report.
In cases of accidents, ART individually identifies the person responsible, helping to compare their responsibilities with the Public Authorities. And in case of inspection by the Mato Grosso Regional Engineering and Agronomy Council (Crea-MT), the rural producer must present the paid-off ART guide.
Step by step - In the Technical Report there is also a step-by-step guide on how to fill out the ART and make the payment.
