According to the report by the Mato-Grossense Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea), the forecast for the planting area of the second corn harvest in 2022 in Mato Grosso is 6,23 million hectares. The average productivity estimate is 106,09 bags per hectare, which should result in a total production of 39,64 million tons. For this prediction to be confirmed, the producer needs to do his part and start planning for the season that starts in February.

One of the important points is to pay attention to the property's machines and equipment, especially input distributors. Thinking more specifically about the distribution of fertilizers, the producer who does not want to take risks must already have the input that will be used stored, have the dose prescriptions ready and, above all, have the implement ready for application, whether new or used with maintenance in order.

According to Reinaldo Teixeira, operational supervisor at MP Agro, the choice of distributor for a property needs to be based on the size of the area, the inputs used and the culture. “In addition to these three important factors, it is also necessary to pay attention to the composition and relief of the land. With this information, he can decide the best distributor model to fully meet his needs”, he highlights.

By paying attention to these points, in addition to minimizing errors, the farmer increases his possibility of greater gains. “The correct choice of distributor can impact fuel savings, agility and quality of application, more productivity and even greater profitability at harvest”, reinforces Teixeira.

Attention to maintenance

After choosing the ideal equipment for the farm's needs, before going into the field it is necessary to pay attention to some preliminary procedures, especially when the equipment is not new. One of them is to make sure that the distributor has checked the hydraulic, electrical/electronic and mechanical systems in order to avoid the risk of unscheduled stops during applications. Furthermore, it is important to calibrate the implement well to maintain accuracy close to 100% and in case of variable rate application, have all maps ready in the correct format.

According to the technical supervisor, to always keep maintenance up to date, an important tip is every time you finish an application cycle, carry out preventive checks and pay attention to predictive checks on a daily basis. “This way the equipment will always be ready for work and free from unscheduled stops”, reinforces Teixeira.

Market solutions

When it comes to input distributors, MP Agro offers four lines of equipment to meet the needs of the most varied producer profiles. One of the solutions is Taurus Robust. As the name suggests, it is robust and guarantees the delivery of better operational results, thanks to its high load capacity combined with cutting-edge technology. Among its differences are: high load capacity of 25.000 kg and 30.000 kg, promotes diesel savings due to fewer stops for fueling, 100% stainless steel structure and even section shutdown to save fertilizer in broken areas.

Another solution is the Z Line which transforms the self-propelled sprayer into a fertilizer distributor, which allows for split fertilization and reduces crop crushing. It is compatible with all self-propelled models on the market. Among its differentiators are: capacity for 4 and 6 m³, 100% stainless steel structure, appreciation of used self-propelled vehicles, savings of up to 80% compared to purchasing new equipment.

The Taurus stands out for its durability. With a capacity of 12.000kg or 6m³, the equipment has a reinforced header and versatility in application, as it has vanes for distributing solids and powders, a fundamental solution for precision agriculture. It also has a removable belt system with full-length guide to prevent misalignment, an anti-failure component and easy-to-fit rollers.

The company also makes the Taurus Truck available to the market. Strong and resistant, the equipment was developed for coupling to trucks, with the necessary agility to guarantee more productivity and the mission to deliver the best results. With a high load capacity: 25.000 kg and 30.000 kg, it offers 66% more working time compared to loading time, which guarantees the producer a quick return on investment.
