A special operation, starting on the morning of this Sunday, 6th, and ending on the evening of Friday, February 11th, will be developed to provide safety and agility on the route between Trevo Cataratas and the Show Rural Coopavel park. The functioning of the operation was detailed by the command of the Federal Highway Police in a meeting with event directors and representatives of the most different local entities.
The chief inspector of the PRF Police Station in Cascavel, Ricardo Schneider, says that the traffic situation this year, on the route between Trevo Cataratas and Show Rural, will be atypical. ‘We have two important works going on: the restructuring of the interchange and the duplication of BR-277, right in front of the main access gate to the Rural Show area. Therefore, we will all have to be even more attentive and careful”, says Ricardo.
On the Trevo Cataratas ring, traffic will operate in two lanes, continuing from there to the Federal Highway Police station. From the PRF unit to the Show Rural park, the use of the shoulder will be organized. If there is too much flow, informs inspector Ricardo Schneider, the use of the shoulder will be authorized, but always with the support of a police vehicle or with authorization from the police officers who will be at fixed points along the stretch.
On the way to Show Rural, with heavier traffic in the morning, drivers will pass by the front of the park and make a U-turn at the Ferroeste interchange. From there, anyone heading to the park can now use the left lane. The flow along the right lane, which also allows access to Show Rural, will be used mainly by those heading towards Curitiba.
Upon returning to the city from the event, in the afternoon, inspector Ricardo Schneider notes that if necessary, the shoulder can also be used to maximize flow, always with the authorization of police officers and vehicles that will provide support throughout the operation. At Trevo Cataratas, two lanes will be used to make traffic more fluid.
The Show Rural Coopavel, in its 34th edition, will have an opening mass this Sunday, 6th, at 11am. The gates will open for public visits to the stands at 8am. Visitors must wear a mask throughout their visit. Alcohol gel will be distributed at various points throughout the park. Access to and use of parking is free.
