The soybean harvest in Paraná reached 2% of the cultivated area. This corresponds to approximately 104 thousand hectares of a total of 5,8 million hectares planted in this cycle.
Estimated production is 22,2 million tons, but the number is expected to be revised at the end of the month. The information is from the Department of Rural Economy (Deral).
The unfavorable climate, with high temperatures and lack of rain, has hampered crop development in important regions. The West and Southwest of the state were the most impacted areas. These regions should review their production projections. Despite this, recent rains may benefit some plantations.
Currently, 83% of crops are in good condition. Another 15% are in average condition. Only 2% are classified as poor.
