O Center for Research in Genomics Applied to Climate Change (GCCRC) seeks a candidate for a FAPESP Post-Doctoral Fellowship. The registration deadline ends on June 22, 2020.
The GCCRC is an Engineering Research Center (CPE) constituted by FAPESP and the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), headquartered at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). The Center develops plants adapted to the stresses of global climate change.
The fellow will work on optimizing corn transformation protocols. He will also be responsible for developing new processes and transformative technologies to accelerate the process and enable economies of scale.
The candidate must have a doctorate, with solid experience in plant genetic transformation, especially with Agrobacterium tumefaciens and/or biobalistics. Experiences with tissue culture and plant transformation and experimentation are desirable.
