PlantUP wins over more and more farmers and becomes synonymous with reliability when choosing cultivars

Free platform developed by ATTO Intelligence, from the ATTO Group, already has more than 15 million hectares registered and is a reference in quality of information to help producers increase productivity at no cost

The farmer's situation remains challenging with the villain of the continuous increase in production costs always lurking around. Increasingly, it is necessary to seek assertiveness in choosing the best inputs in order to produce more with fewer resources. And this challenge begins with choosing the best mix of cultivars for each soil and climate situation, as the seed is the basis of all good farming and good harvest results.

In order to solve this latent pain that is the choice and positioning of cultivars among so many available options, at the same time seeking to increase productivity without increasing costs, three years ago ATTO Intelligence (from the ATTO Group) created PlantUP.

PlantUP optimizes time and resources with free information. Starting with the regional comparison, in which the farmer can check which cultivars are performing best in their region and can also analyze which position is showing the best results: what is the best planting time, population and type of soil.

Furthermore, the farmer can also discover the most promising cultivars among the launches, observe their position in the ranking of producers in their region and compare their mix with the most productive in the region and keep their entire harvest history organized by plot.

Approved by farmers

Farmer Marcelo Borges Basso, from Itiquira (MT), claims to have already discarded some cultivars and purchased others due to PlantUP. “I enter the platform and take the test to see the size of the area that is being cited, whether it is a really significant or experimental area.”

Basso says that he joins the platform “when making decisions about variety planning, when planting and if there are any doubts that remain, making decisions about the population, for example. It is very easy to use, it has a lot of filter options, sometimes there is even no time to use all the filters it has”, he explains.

“The platform is very good. It helps me make some decisions about planting times based on the productivity of each material, choose some materials and the population as well”, highlights the manager of a property in Diamantino (MT) Adelsom Gilberto Schreiber.

The PlantUP numbers are so relevant that Schreiber developed, in booklet format, content with the main property information on the platform regarding corn and soybeans. “I print the main pages of PlantUP, the earning opportunities, the most planted cultivars, harvest and planting yield, our position in the ranking, average productivity per farm and per material. I also make a comparison with our productivity ranking and the region. I also take a report on our portfolio with our region”, says the manager.

Reliability

All information registered on the platform goes through a rigorous security system. PlantUP keeps released data reliable and secure through advanced validation algorithms, a strict audit process, encryption and anonymity of information.

Maurício Pires Loyola has property in the municipality of Piracanjuba (GO) and is in the second consecutive harvest using PlantUP, which, according to him, does not present “biased” information. “You don’t hear anyone saying they produced poorly, everyone says they produce well. When the guy produces variety B badly, he doesn't count, but when he produces variety B well, he counts. PlantUP is a way to get the most real number, you can understand which variety is really doing badly within the region”, highlights the farmer who recommends the platform.

Another tool that expands the vision of farmers and their consultants is a complete catalog of soybean cultivars with all their resistance characteristics to diseases and pests. This way, he can filter the cultivar options available on the market that can meet his specific demands.

Any and all soybean, corn and cotton farmers can have free access to the PlantUP platform via the website meuplantup.com, regardless of the size of the property and the level of technology applied. Additionally, an application to facilitate data entry can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.
