The planting process goes much further than just placing the seed in the ground. It is planning that involves preparing a budget, deciding to purchase inputs and organizing training for the team that will work in the field. In many of these moments, the producer is able to have very close control of the process, but when it comes time to go to the field, some factors may be out of line with expectations.
Check it out. The team was trained, the planters were certified, aligned to bring the projected result and, when arriving at the field, it is drier than expected or the opposite. What to do, what decision to make? For the executive director of Geração Agro, a consultancy specializing in planting, Flávio Marques, these are some of the critical moments in agricultural production that good team training and a well-oiled group will make all the difference when making decisions. “We are talking about managing technique, people and processes efficiently, to achieve the planned results, which is always the objective of producing more per hectare to guarantee top profitability for the plot”, explains Marques.
“Planting Management is an exclusive step-by-step process that will guide us from start to finish so that we have a very high quality planting, this is what will result in more bags per hectare”, says the consultant. Following the method created by Geração Agro and which will be taught in the course Valuing Each Plant. As stated by Marques, participants will learn about team management, planter certification, regulation actions for this equipment and analysis of the planting as a whole. “You can see that all stages are essential for planting. At the slightest oversight by any of them, we lose productivity. In practice, this is what we see most on a daily basis”, concludes the agronomist.
