The public expected for Plantar's Field Day attended and left satisfied with the event, which took place on December 04th and 05th. There were two days of presentations, business and interaction between visitors, technicians and professionals in the field. “We checked the guidelines, took advantage of the offers and have already purchased the products to apply on our properties”, highlighted farmer Elson Schinato. According to him, the showcase presented by Plantar, in partnership with other input and seed companies, is fundamental, as the farmer has no way to make comparisons on his property. “The results presented in the experimental fields can also be achieved in crops in our region, as they are adapted to the local climate and soil type.”

During the "Your path to high productivity" circuit, Plantar's technical team presented management solutions for soybean and corn crops, in addition to the best seed options for the 2020 harvest. For Commercial Director Genésio Bortoli, the objective of the event was fulfilled. “It is a pleasure to serve the farmer, answering questions and providing guidance on innovative ways of farming. In addition, we point out the best options for corn hybrids and soybean cultivars for the region in the next harvests. The producer who follows the guidelines given on Field Day will have good results”, informed Bortoli.

Highlights

For soybean and corn producer from Cascavel Airton José Gaffuri, the presentations were very clear and very educational. “There are always new things to learn, but what caught my attention the most was the program that involves precision agriculture, the P200, mainly due to its viable production costs,” he informed. For Gaffuri, the soybean and corn plots of partner companies were also very well organized, with several options and launches with high production potential specific to the region.

The farmer from Rio do Salto, Vilmar Pereira de Souza, highlighted the soil profile management season. “We were able to see the details of rooting in the trench and it was very clear that the difference in facing water stress, for example, lies in a stronger, more nourished root.”

Consultant and agronomist Jorge Verde gave a very valuable tip on the application of fungicides in the critical period, which is approaching. “As there is a lot of temperature variation during the day, we should apply it at night, between 20pm and 23pm, when the relative humidity is more uniform.” He also highlighted that it is important to invest in preventive protection to avoid losing productivity in the next harvest.
