Pioneer, a Corteva Agriscience seed brand, continues to be the leader for the 15th consecutive year in the summer and off-season corn seed market in Brazil, according to research carried out by Spark, a company specializing in agribusiness studies. Furthermore, the best-selling corn hybrids in the country for the first and second harvests, the 30F53 for the summer and the P3707VYH for the off-season, are part of Pioneer's portfolio.

With constant investment in genetics, research and development to transform producers' needs into solutions, the brand presents new hybrids for the off-season. The products are adapted for cultivation in the South and central Brazil. P3223VYH is a super-early cycle hybrid with high productive potential, leaf health and good stem, root and grain quality. The product also features Leptra technology, made up of three insecticidal proteins (Cry1F, Cry1Ab and Vip3Aa20), which helps protect against the main caterpillars that attack corn crops.

The P3889R launch offers an early cycle, high production potential and tolerance to the herbicide glyphosate, enabling greater flexibility in weed management. It is an excellent option for high yields and for use in refuges for crops using Bt technology. “Pioneer is committed to contributing to the development of corn cultivation, which is so important for Brazil and the world. The new hybrids for the off-season are another initiative by the brand to bring high technology, productivity and stability to crops”, says Ecli Ávila, Leader of Pioneer in Brazil and Paraguay.

From the next harvest onwards, producers will also be able to count on the recently launched corn hybrids P3845VYHR and P3808VYHR with Optimum AQUAmax technology, unprecedented in Brazil and with greater tolerance to water stress. The products are the result of genetic improvement achieved through rigorous analysis and selection processes of hybrids capable of combining high production potential with efficient water use. They also offer early cycle, Leptra technology with tolerance to the herbicide glyphosate and adaptation for cultivation in the opening and intermediate planting windows in central Brazil.
