Ethanol production opens new opportunities for winter crops
The production of ethanol from cereals can become another alternative for the liquidity of winter crops in Rio Grande do Sul
From the 03rd to the 5th of July, the IV Phytus Seminar takes place at the CIEE Theater, in Porto Alegre (RS), with the central theme being "New Agriculture". The event will feature lectures and debates on plant health and results of research conducted by Phytus do Sul and Cerrado researchers.
The 2019 edition brings the Elevagro Experience to the event, with guests presenting global perspectives on agribusiness. The purpose is to debate solutions to transform agriculture.
Over the three days, the discussion focuses on management tactics, the importance of water, nutrition and plant genetics, and premises for truly sustainable agriculture. Speakers from universities and research institutions in France, the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico are present.
On the first day, the researcher and Director of the Phytus Group, Ricardo Balardin, opened the series of lectures addressing the challenges of New Agriculture, with perspectives on digital agriculture and issues on health and sustainability. “This seminar is a time for us to re-evaluate the way we are doing agriculture today and think about what kind of agriculture of the future we want to build. Therefore, we brought speakers from different areas and different countries to this edition, with different views on how to approach agriculture”, he guaranteed.
Approximately 400 people, including researchers, producers and consultants, participate in the seminar.
