Plant Health Care Brasil (PHC) has expanded its presence in the country and presented its Saori and Teikko solutions during the 25th MT Foundation Soybean Technical Meeting. The two products represent what the company calls the “fourth wave of biologicals”: peptides applied directly to the seed, which offer long-term protection from the moment the plants emerge. The information was provided by Rodrigo de Miranda, the company’s business director for South America.

Saori acts as a broad-spectrum biofungicide. According to Miranda, in addition to controlling rust and stains, producers have reported positive effects even against white mold, although this indication is not yet included in the official registry.

Teikko combats nematodes with performance stability comparable to chemicals, without depending on weather or soil conditions. The product acts against Pratylenchus brachyurus, one of the most prevalent nematodes in Brazil, and has a prolonged and broad-spectrum action.

The solutions are in addition to the Hplant bioactivator, used in vegetative applications to increase plant resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses. Miranda explains that, with the combined use of the technologies, producers have achieved a return on investment of up to 10 times the amount invested.

PHC was acquired in 2024 by the Indian group PI Industries and has been expanding its operations. The team now has over 55 employees and the company has strengthened its operations in agricultural distribution in several regions of Brazil. In addition to the Brazilian market, PHC maintains a presence in Mexico, the USA, Europe, Africa and Asia.
