Juvenile hormone may be key in controlling cotton aphid
Study indicates how hormonal signaling interferes with the morphology and reproductive capacity of winged females
Plant Health Care Brasil (PHC) is participating in the 28th edition of Expocafé, from May 27 to 29, in Três Pontas (MG), with innovative solutions to increase coffee productivity in a sustainable way. During the event, the company will present its technologies based on natural peptides, such as the bioactivator HPlant and the new foliar fungicide Moshy, both focused on high performance, food safety and respect for the environment.
Commercially available in Brazil since 2018, HPlant is a hydrolyzed protein that stimulates root growth, improves water and nutrient absorption, and increases plant resilience to climate stress. The technology has shown average increases of 9 bags of processed coffee per hectare, by promoting greater uniformity in fruit ripening and vegetative growth.
Moshy, launched during the fair, is the first peptide-based foliar fungicide registered in Brazil, indicated for controlling diseases in crops such as coffee and sugarcane. The solution leaves no residue, has a new mode of action and contributes to resistance management.
With over 30 years of research and development, PHC is part of the PI Industries group and reinforces its commitment to regenerative agriculture. The company highlights the importance of sustainable practices, such as the use of bio-inputs and plant cover, in the face of the challenges of climate change.
Expocafé 2025 is organized by Cocatrel, in partnership with UFLA and the City of Três Pontas, with support from Epamig and Emater. The event brings together producers, experts and companies from the sector to share innovations in harvesting, post-harvest, management and sustainability in coffee farming.
