Bean producers in Santa Catarina and Paraná will be entitled to a discount bonus on financing from the National Program for Strengthening Family Agriculture (Pronaf). The states were included in the Price Guarantee Program for Family Agriculture (PGPAF) in June. The percentage is calculated by the National Supply Company (Conab) and the complete list of products covered was published today, in the Official Gazette of the Union.
The program benefits crops whose prices received by the producer were below the guarantee. Among the 15 items included in June, there were changes in some of the benefiting states in relation to the previous month.
In addition to beans in Santa Catarina and Paraná, the products included in this edition are: açaí (AC), cultivated natural rubber (ES, MG, SP, GO); sugar cane (RJ, SP); cashew nuts (CE, PI, RN); cowpea (AP, BA, MT); sunflower (RS), milk (AL, BA, CE, PE, SE); mango (BA); bee honey (PI, RN, SE, MG, SP, PR, RS, SC, MS); corn (MT); cassava root (ES, SP); sorghum (MT); wheat (MG, SP, PR, RS, SC, DF, GO, MS) and triticale (SP). The program highlights the inclusion of the bonus for cowpea produced in Amapá, which was not included in the previous month, and the exclusion of corn in Rio Grande do Sul.
The ordinance with the monthly bonus amounts is published by the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Farming (MDA), which is responsible for passing them on to financial agents. In this edition, the benefit comes into effect from June 10th, valid until July 9th. Check out the complete list of SAF-MDA Ordinance No. 159, of June 6, 2024, which indicates product warranty prices and bonus percentages in the states covered, at the link below.
