The National Supply Company (Conab) launched on Thursday (15/09) auction notices to support the sale of oranges in natura, 2022/2023 harvest, in Rio Grande do Sul. The operations will be carried out on September 22nd, at 9 am, through the Company's Electronic Marketing System (Siscoe). The auctions were authorized by the Interministerial Ordinance of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) and Ministry of Economy (ME) No. 3, of 13/09/2022, and aim to guarantee the Minimum Price to rural producers of orange and/or or their cooperatives in the state.
The incentive will be implemented through the marketing instruments Equalizer Award Paid to Rural Producers (Pepro) and the Product Flow Award (PEP). The volume of product supported will be 5 thousand tons, in each operation. The prize will be paid after the production, sale and disposal of oranges has been proven. in natura from the 2022/2023 harvest, produced in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, destined for any region. According to the notices, the orange limit per rural producer is a maximum of 200 thousand kilos, per notice. For producer cooperatives, the limit will be 200 thousand kilos per active member who participates in the operation.
O Pepro Notice nº 48/2022 - Orange and PEP Notice nº 49/2022 - Orange, with the rules for participating in the auction, were published on the Conab Portal. In the case of PEP, the processing industries receive the premium after proving the purchase of oranges at the Minimum Price and the shipment to permitted destinations. In Pepro, the prize is offered to the producer or cooperative that sells the product for the difference between the Minimum Price and the value of the Equalizer Prize collected, in addition to proving the sale under the expected conditions.
On the date of carrying out the operations, participants must be registered on a Commodity Exchange for which they intend to operate, registered in the Conab Agent Registration System (Sican), in good standing with the Conab Defaulter Registration and Control System ( Sircoi), in addition to being registered in good standing with the Unified Supplier Registration System (Sicaf), as well as with the Federal Treasury and Social Security, among other requirements.
