GenesisGroup is the newest supporter of ESALQTec, a technology incubator linked to Esalq/USP. With this initiative, GenesisGroup will act on two fronts in the partnership with ESALQTec: contribution to the development of startups linked to agribusiness and access to solutions linked to quality processes in agriculture created by startups connected to the incubator.
“GenesisGroup has a very clear position in favor of innovation in the agri-food chain, notably in areas linked to processes and quality control. On the other hand, ESALQTec has a history of more than two decades of promoting creative ideas in agriculture and carries with it the names of Esalq and USP, which represent leadership, knowledge and innovation. The connection is perfect”, explains Nelson Bechara, CEO of GenesisGroup.
ESALQTec brings together around 120 projects, in the resident, associated and pre-incubated categories linked to Digital Agriculture, Biotechnology and several other areas related to the agribusiness production chain. In addition to being a technological incubator, consolidating the first steps of the innovative project, it strengthens connections between academia and the different actors in the Vale do Piracicaba/Agtech Valley ecosystem, promoting the culture of entrepreneurship.
The partnership with ESALQTec is another GenesisGroup initiative in the field of agtechs. “We were the first supporter of the AgtechGarage hub, also in Piracicaba (SP). We want to be close and know how the most creative minds in agriculture think and act because we recognize that innovation represents the future of the food production chain”, highlights Nelson Bechara.
