Aprosoja project promotes storage in MT
Armazena-MT focuses on gathering information and giving autonomy to producers to build warehouses
Farmers in Mato Grosso are seeking increasingly sustainable production. To this end, many participate in Soja Plus, an environmental and economic management program offered free of charge by the Association of Soy and Corn Producers of Mato Grosso (Aprosoja), in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove).
The program is getting stronger year after year, gaining more fans and expanding its horizons. During the Soja Plus Sustainability Forum, which takes place on July 25th, starting at 8:30 am, at the Sindicato Rural de Sorriso, a new step will be taken.
The partnership between Aprosoja and the Dutch organization IDH (Sustainable Trade Initiative) will be presented to the state's farmers through the Continuous Improvement for a Sustainable Supply Area program.
“The objective is to support the sustainability performance of farmers who participate in Soja Plus, helping to recover degraded permanent preservation areas (APPD) and identifying possible mechanisms that allow the valorization of the properties' environmental assets", explains Cristiane Sassagima, manager of Research and Production Management at Aprosoja.
The project will cover, firstly, municipalities that are within a radius of 80 kilometers from Sorriso, that is, Sinop, Santa Carmem, Ipiranga do Norte, Lucas do Rio Verde, Tapurah, Vera, Feliz Natal and Nova Ubiratã.
The afternoon will be dedicated to debates with entities representing agribusiness. Farmers will be able to ask questions about various topics related to Aprosoja, Aprosoja Brasil, Famato and the Agricultural Parliamentary Front (FPA).
