Between May 28th and June 01st, Ourofino Agrociência will be at the 15th edition of the Bahia Farm Show 2019, considered the biggest agribusiness showcase in the North and Northeast of Brazil. At the fair, the industry presents the formulation of the AfincoBR fungicide, as well as other products from its portfolio. Visitors will be able to explore a space to observe in practice the applications, treatments and performance of Ourofino Agrociência's herbicides, fungicides and insecticides, which can be used on a variety of crops.

During the event, the company will demonstrate solutions focused on soybean and cotton plantations, predominant in the region. According to an estimate from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), the cotton harvest in 2019 will be a record, with a harvest forecast 13% higher than that of the previous cycle, which is equivalent to 5,6 million tons more.

Thinking about cotton cultivation, among the products presented at the fair is AfincoBR (diafenthiuron), an insecticide with greater adherence, which allows better coverage and less loss due to rain washing, which guarantees a long period of control and consistent results for the farmer. “In addition to acting on some infestations that can harm cotton, this product stands out for its effectiveness against the “whitefly”, solving a problem that causes a lot of damage to the producer”, explains Marco Cunha, manager of Insecticide and Fungicide Products at Ourofino Agrociência .

In addition to AfincoBR, another example is the multisite protective fungicide Nillus (chlorothalonil). Composed of microparticles, the product has a formulation that allows for better fixation and coverage of plants, in addition to promoting a longer period of control, making it an important tool for managing resistance to fungal diseases, both in cotton and corn crops. and bean.

The Templo herbicide will also be demonstrated at the fair. The recently launched product presents high performance and greater speed in eradicating sugarcane ratoon; When compared to other glyphosate formulations, it is more efficient in renewing sugarcane fields, another crop that is prominent in the North and Northeast regions of the country.
