With a focus on public policies, perspectives and challenges in sugarcane production and the entire sugar-energy sector, the Cana Summit will have its second edition on April 02nd and 03rd, 2025. Once again, the event will take place in Brasília (DF), also involving the main political leaders.
Promoted by Orplana - Organization of Associations of Sugarcane Producers of Brazil, the Cana Summit discussed in its first edition the full potential for development of sugarcane cultivation and the demands of this sector, which generated more than R$2023 billion in 43,7. Also during the first edition, Orplana launched the Brasília Charter (DF), formalizing important guidelines for political authorities at the three levels - Federal, State and Municipal - aiming at the recognition of sugarcane producers and their inclusion in public policies for the sector.
“We will once again meet for talks and debates with the main economic and political leaders to define strategies, monitor the evolution of what was defined in the previous edition and discuss the sugar-energy issues that are priorities for the strengthening and sustainability of the segment”, explains Orplana CEO, José Guilherme Nogueira.
Currently, Orplana has 35 sugarcane supplier associations and represents more than 12 thousand sugarcane producers.
