Law creates regulated carbon market in Brazil
Primary agricultural production does not generate credits
An agronomist with a master's degree in Entomology and Phytopathology from UFPR – Universidade Federal do Paraná –, Evandro Keller (pictured) has taken on the role of commercial and market development director at Openeem Bioscience. His challenge will be to continue the company's growth trajectory in the Brazilian agrochemical and pesticide market.
The company has become recognized in the agricultural pesticides sector as one of the most innovative, after launching the so-called 'botanicide' agrochemicals. "Openeem wants to go beyond traditional agricultural management systems to boost its growth", highlights Keller. According to him, the company, 100% Brazilian, is the developer of a unique line of inputs based on green chemistry, for crop protection.
According to Openeem, the “botanicides” are derived from more than 300 compounds found in the neem tree, discovered by the company after significant investment in research and development. This is a concentrated formulation technology enhanced by Tritertech or bioactivated triterpenes.
“Botanicides are innovative and revolutionary products for agribusiness, since they bring the same effectiveness and potency as traditional pesticides, such as insecticides and fungicides for controlling pests and diseases. This is a new chemical group that is beneficial to the producer, with a botanical matrix, natural and sustainable”, highlights Keller.
According to him, the company's portfolio also includes biofertilizers and soil conditioners, inputs that improve the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of the soil. "All items in the portfolio are bioactivated through enzymatic processes and manufactured sustainably, using our own Neem forests," he concludes.
“Evandro Keller has been part of Openeem’s team since the company’s inception and his presence has been of substantial importance in the development of our technology, generating an innovative, efficient and modern product line,” highlights Gabriela Lindemann, CEO of Openeem.
