Embrapa has open registration for the online course IrrigaWeb, with a workload of 200 hours. The training aims to improve the use and rational use of water in agricultural production, with many modern and educational resources, such as video classes, animations and games. Other differences are the high technical quality and the participation of specialists with doctorates on the subject.
The content is divided into three modules (Fundamentals, Requirements and Application), with 11 technical units that cover topics such as water management, irrigation method selection, management strategies, system performance, economic assessment, fertigation and much more. The course is offered entirely remotely from August to December 2019 (in which the student organizes their own access time).
Sara Rios, researcher at Embrapa Corn and Sorghum (Sete Lagoas-MG) and executive coordinator of the training, explains that the IrrigaWeb is a strategic service that allows the expansion of the capillarity of training actions on the subject, in support of policies to increase the efficiency of water use in irrigated agriculture, as well as the extension of new irrigated areas in the country.
