Sementes Oilema closed 2024 with a 5% increase in sales volume, reaching a 2,5% share of the total soybean area in Brazil. Highlights include the 50% growth in sorghum cultivation, driven by domestic demand and the potential for export to markets such as China. The company also began 2025 with the inauguration of its new headquarters in Luís Eduardo Magalhães, Bahia, which integrates modern laboratories and planned spaces.

The CEO Celito Mission (pictured above) attributes the success to strategic planning and seed quality, highlighting that no hectare needed to be replanted due to quality issues. “We had a challenging year, but with consistent growth, at a time when many in the market faced a downturn. The quality of our seeds was a differentiator: we did not have a single hectare replanted due to quality issues, which reinforces the trust of our customers and partners,” he emphasizes.

In terms of governance, the company is moving forward with projects through 2030 and a new management system, totaling R$70 million in infrastructure investments since 2023. Missio emphasizes Oilema’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth alongside Brazilian producers. “These investments are not just for growth, but to ensure that we operate with excellence on all fronts. We are prepared to keep moving forward, growing alongside Brazilian producers,” he concludes.
