Oboya announces new strategic investments in Brazil

Oboya Horticulture Solutions, a global leader in comprehensive, sustainable horticulture solutions, is accelerating its growth in Brazil through a new round of strategic investments to strengthen local production, innovation, and sustainable supply chains across Latin America. 

After a recent visit to Holambra, Oboya's leadership confirmed the purchase of 11 new molds and five high-speed robotic injection molding machines for its joint venture, Oboya QS Ecovaso. The first two sets of machines are scheduled to arrive in Brazil this month, with the remainder scheduled to arrive between August and September. This investment is expected to increase product performance by up to 30%, significantly improving production and market competitiveness. 

"These investments represent a milestone for Oboya QS Ecovaso. With this new technology, we will be able to serve our customers with even greater agility, consistency, and innovation," said Marco Pizzardo, Project Manager at Oboya QS Ecovaso. 

Meanwhile, Oboya is preparing to launch a new substrate plant in Fortaleza, focused on the production of coco peat. The first three automated production lines are ready to be shipped from China, with installation scheduled to begin between September and October 2025. More than 20 containers of advanced equipment will be shipped to begin operations. 

These efforts are part of a broader growth strategy. Oboya plans to operate seven factories in Brazil by the end of 2026, solidifying the country as a cornerstone of its global manufacturing network. The group currently operates 13 factories worldwide, including its newest substrate plant, currently under construction in Qingdao, China.
