For three years now, the production of Sweet Grape tomatoes by farmer João Paulo Alves Paiva Amaral, from Guapiara (SP), has been exceeding expectations and showing increasingly significant productivity. At Sítio Santa Helena, the four thousand fruit trees are recording above-average productivity rates, a fact that encouraged the farmer to begin preparations to cultivate another ten thousand trees of the same variety.

According to João Paulo, the good productivity and superior quality of the products are the result of a nutritional strategy with special foliar fertilizers. “Three years ago I started using Nutriceler nutritional sources and it was from then on that I began to see surprising results. Fertilizers offer a wide variety of micronutrients and formulations are designed to be absorbed and translocated quickly. It is this intelligent action of the fertilizer that makes management much safer, more practical and economical”, says the farmer.

The farmer highlights that, in the case of tomato production, deficiencies are easily identified and need to be corrected quickly. “The old sources of micronutrients that I used took almost a week to be assimilated by the plant. With Nutriceler fertilizers we get the answer we need from one day to the next. It's incredible how quickly the plant responds and the leaves begin to normalize in such a short time. It’s a benefit seen with the naked eye,” he highlights.

For João Paulo, choosing a good seed is also fundamental, however, the results will only be optimized if there is an investment in adequate nutrition. “As my objective is to reach the maximum productive potential of tomatoes, I seek support in nutritional technologies. We know that the greater the plant's capacity to produce fruit, the greater its demand for nutrients. Without good nutritional management, fruit development is limited,” he explains.

With the market stabilized and technology working in his favor, João Paulo expects to harvest around 40 tons of cherry tomatoes and achieve good income from their sale. “In addition to being very efficient, technology offers us a lot of practicality. They are very soluble and compatible formulations. I have not yet found a nutritional source that is as effective and has as many advantages as these on the market,” he concludes.

The agronomist, Ney Assis, who followed the nutritional management at Sítio Santa Helena since the first applications, states that the Nutriceler technology had a direct action in stimulating the root system, good resistance to water deficiencies, provided uniform fruits and post-production quality. superior harvest. “As Nutriceler products act very quickly, it was possible to see the action of each nutrient at each stage of the plant’s development. We saw the flowers set well in the bunches, we corrected the deficiencies very quickly and this gave us the confidence to celebrate an excellent harvest”, comments Ney Assis.
