Nufarm shows portfolio during Summer Field Day

On the 4th and 5th of March, the Cooperativa Agraria Agroindustrial, in partnership with Fundação Agraria de Pesquisa Agropecuária – FAPA, will hold the 2020 edition of Summer Field Day, in the municipality of Guarapuava, Paraná. The technical event is aimed at disseminating technical-scientific knowledge about the production of soybeans, corn and beans.

Nufarm is present at the field day to showcase a portfolio of herbicides and insecticides aimed at proper grain management. According to the company's Trade Marketing manager, agronomist Carlos Amadeu, in the area of ​​weeds, Nufarm highlights the herbicide ZethaMaxx, successfully used to control invasive plants such as horseweed and bittergrass, in desiccation and pre- soybean planting.

The Crucial herbicide will also be presented to participants at the Summer Field Day. According to Nufarm, the product has already been applied to more than 70 million hectares of crops and different crops. Amadeu points out that it is a strategic tool for controlling a wide spectrum of invaders. “Crucial’s formulation uses double salt technology and therefore the product acts faster compared to other glyphosates, including in rainy cycles”, summarizes the executive. 

In the area of ​​pest control, Nufarm is bringing the Inside FS and Maestro FS insecticides to the Guarapuava event, which make up the SeedProtection platform, for seed treatment. These products, as the executive highlights, act to control the green-bellied stink bug and the corn leafhopper, as well as soybean-chewing pests, such as the elasmus caterpillar, coró and soy anteater.
