Embrapa Cocais, UEMA and Senar hold field day on rice cultivation
It is hoped that the field day will contribute to the training of agronomy students and to the popularization of science in urban and rural areas
The Australian company Nufarm presents its portfolio for soybean and corn crops during the Agro Coopernorte Show. The event takes place from May 22nd to 25th, in the municipality of Paragominas, organized by Cooperativa Agroindustrial Paragominense. Nufarm also shows rural producers the results and benefits obtained in the field with the application of the brand's herbicides, fungicides and insecticides.
The highlights of Nufarm's herbicide line will be the agrochemicals Crucial, ZethaMaxx and Kraken, which are part of the company's treatment program for bittergrass. “This is a line made up of cutting-edge technologies, developed with the aim of transferring a favorable cost-benefit ratio to Brazilian producers”, explains Nufarm’s Trade Marketing coordinator, Ailton Ferreira.
In relation to disease control, the fungicides Manfil, Tamiz, Volna and Rivax will be discussed, considered strategic tools for managing fungal resistance to active ingredients in products, as well as for controlling end-of-cycle diseases in corn and soybeans. “Field experiments have demonstrated the efficiency of Rivax in controlling soybean diseases, with an increase in productivity of two to four bags/ha compared to the producer's standard treatment”, highlights Ferreira.
For pest management, Nufarm brings to the Paragominas event the Compact insecticides, indicated for controlling the caterpillar complex in soybean and corn crops and the duo Carnadine and Epingle, recommended for controlling whiteflies. The Kaiso product completes the portfolio used in the management of soybean insect pests, such as caterpillars and stink bugs.
Participants at the Coopernorte Agro Show will also learn about the benefits of insecticides for treating soybean and corn seeds Inside FS, Maestro FS and Apron, which make up the SeedProtection platform. These products, according to Nufarm, act to control the green-bellied stink bug and the corn leafhopper, as well as soybean-chewing pests, including elastic caterpillar, coró and soy anteater.
