Expodireto Special: Nufarm focuses on weed management

Expodireto Cotrijal, one of the largest international agribusiness fairs, takes place until March 6th, in the municipality of Não-Me-Toque (RS). Focused on technology and business, the event contributes decisively to the development of Brazilian agribusiness. The company Nufarm shows, through the assembly of experimental fields, the main weeds that have had an incidence in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

According to the company, highlights of its stand include the Curado-Sialex 500 solution, aimed at controlling white mold on soybeans, the Crucial and ZethaMaxx herbicides and the SeedProtection platform, the latter specifically for seed treatment.

Launched around three years ago and already consolidated among the strategic tools to support soybean productivity, the herbicide ZethaMaxx, according to the company, has gained a reputation as a leader for its performance in controlling invaders that cause damage to crops, in desiccation and pre- -planting, especially horseweed and bittergrass.

“The product delivers results above expectations. Avoids productivity losses due to initial weed competition and reduces the seed bank. Used correctly, it also eliminates the need for post-emergence application of soybeans”, explains Nufarm's Trade Marketing manager, agronomist Rubens Fiorin.

The Crucial herbicide, according to Fiorin, acts on a broad spectrum of broad leaves in different crops.

Regarding the SeedProtection platform, the Nufarm manager informs that recent results will be exposed to visitors, transferred by the solution for seed treatment to the productivity of grain crops. The agronomist highlights that the SeedProtection platform includes the insecticides Maestro FS, Inside FS, Adage 350 and Saddler 350 SC, in addition to the fungicide Apron RFC.
