Nufarm announced in recent days, during a sugar-energy sector event held in the city of Ribeirão Preto (SP), that it began selling the Impulse brand product in Brazil. According to the company's Product Manager, Murilo Borges, this is a high-tech tool that will benefit the management of crops in the sugarcane sector. “The main characteristics of the product are to inhibit flowering, accelerate maturation and stimulate sprouting and tillering of sugar cane.”

Borges also adds that several field-level studies, conducted by the company and researchers in the area, have proven that the new Impulse constitutes a strategic tool for managing sugarcane fields.

“Its application in accordance with agronomic recommendations reduces the ‘shock’ or isoporization of sugar cane. This benefit increases productivity, favors sugarcane management during the harvesting phase and transfers gains to the mills' milling process. The arrival of the product on the market, therefore, promotes quantitative and qualitative gains for the sector”, highlights Borges.

The executive also highlights that the launch of Impulse is part of a broad Nufarm strategy aimed at expanding the brand's technology offering for the sugar-energy sector. “This is a strategic market for the company, in which significant investments are being made with a view to accelerating the development of new products and solutions”, concludes Murilo Borges.
