Northern Tocantins will have collection of pesticide packaging

The Government of Tocantins, through the Agricultural Defense Agency (Adapec), and partner institutions, will carry out actions in the municipalities of Xambioá, Muricilândia and Santa Fé do Araguaia, located in the northern region of the State, between November 6th and 8th, as part of the Itinerant Reception (RI) project for empty pesticide packaging, which will serve small rural producers in the three municipalities and neighboring cities.

Rural producers will be able to return their packaging in the municipality of Xambioá at the square in front of the City Hall. In Muricilância, the return location will be at the Municipal Sports Center and in Santa Fé do Araguaia, the return will take place at the Exhibition Park building at the entrance to the city. The return hours will be from 8 am to 16 pm.

In recent days, the Adapec Regional Office in Araguaína has visited properties to provide guidance to rural producers on the correct and safe use of pesticides and guidance on the importance of returning packaging, as well as providing information on the collection action that will take place in these municipalities.
